Muthiyangana Temple

Muthiyangana is a world famous temple. It is a sacret place. It is in Uva province, at Badulla District. It is an ancient place in 247 years ago, Our Lord Buddha visited this place for rest for a while. After that the place became a sacret temple. King Devanampiyathissa built the Dageba [Pagoda]. Year by year this temple became famous as a very important religious plce. Many Sri Lankans and foreigners visit this place every year. Every year they organize very beautiful and colourful Perahera.

A ancient temple

Malpota temple is a very ancient temple. Upananda Thero is the present of this temple.Before Medananda Thero was the chief priest. There is a big library and there are very valuable books. Lot of valuable statues such as birth of Load Buddha, passing away of Loard Buddha,there are some of incident that are moulded.There is a beautiful fountair.There are image coses, Bo tree and a Pagoda. There are about 07 buildings. Peaple come to visit this temple on poya days this lot of people come to visit temple. Because that is an ancient and very beautiful temple.

My hobby

My hobby is reading books. My father bring me a lot of books. I like to read story books too. I think reading is a good habit.
I read so many books during my school vacation. They are Madol Dhoova,Holman Kande Abirahasa and The happy Prince e.t.c.I

My village

My village is Mirahawatta. It is in Badulla district. Our village situated between Bandarawela and Welimada. It is very beautiful and big village. There are many villagers in Mirahawatta. They are very good and kind.

         There is a good school in my village. It is B/ Sri Devananda Central Collage. Most of the children study in this school. Also there some public buildings such as rural bank, sub-post office, co-operative shop. There is an ancient temple in my village. My village is good. So, that I love my village.

My school

The name of my school is Bandarawela sri Devananda Central Collage. It is in Uva province. It is a Big school.It has a  library,Science  lab, Computer lab, home science room, dancing  room, Music room and  big play ground.The classes of my school are from grade one to grade thirteen.The surrounding in my school is very beautifull.

The principal of my school is Mr. K.H.W.M. Weerasingha. There about 85 teachers. There are 1500 students in my school.  I love my school.

 

My self

I’m Candima Madushani Wasana. I’m 14 years old. I  live in Mirahawatta. I have a one brother  and no sisters. He is Ishan Madushanka. My father is Mr. R.M. Abeyrathne. My mother is Mrs. R.M. Karunawathi.

                     My school is Bandarawela Sri Devananda Central Collage. I’m in grade 09. My subjects are Science, Mathematics and English. My hobbies are reading books and collecting stamps.I have good friends. They are Malka and Kalandika. I want to be a doctor.
